Speaking as Equals

The freedom to speak as equals.

In the comments on my post about taking part in managerial duels, I mentioned that I belong to “я-ИТ-ы”, a non-profit community of digital executives.

Managerial duels are just one of the many different events the community organises. It also arranges visits to companies where its members work. This Saturday, we visited a company everyone knows: Yandex. I was delighted to take part.

It was a packed programme: several talks on automating Yandex’s internal processes, a fascinating tour of its office and a round-table discussion on recruiting and retaining people at IT companies.

The networking that took place on the sidelines during the coffee breaks and closing reception deserves a special mention.

I would like to thank the Yandex employees and the representatives of “я-ИТ-ы” who organised the event—everything went brilliantly.

Saturday turned out to be a very educational day!

I will definitely try to take part in similar events in the future.
