Offline activities…

I subscribed to the Digital Business Leaders group on LinkedIn quite some time ago and have followed its events with great interest. It is a relatively small group, and that is precisely its value: it allows members to select relevant activities for a highly specialised audience.

Some time ago, I contacted the group’s members to ask how I could join. I was already acquainted remotely with some people in this community, so I knew that its goals, tasks and interests were very close to my own.

Last week, I was invited to another in-person event and attended it with pleasure. I listened to an interesting lecture on correcting errors in huge data sets. I know this area quite well, as my dissertation is devoted to this very subject.

There was also a fascinating discussion in the corridor about data cleansing and even about self-winding mechanical watches. It turned out that the Digital Business Leaders group was planning a visit and masterclass at a watch school in October. I simply could not pass that up!

Unfortunately, my schedule at RANEPA is quite busy in September, so I will not be able to take a full part in the club’s activities. I will try to attend those that do not clash with my studies. In October, however, I will begin preparing my diploma project, things will become easier, and I plan to throw myself into the group’s work.

The group photo from the event has already been posted and reposted many times by the community, so I will publish a photo of us together with Maksim Koropchenko, Chief of Marketing and Transformation, one of the founders of the Digital Business Leaders club.
