Books in space

In 2023, I collaborated with Roscosmos State Corporation to send four copies of A.G. Zakharov’s book, ‘How it was: Memoirs of the Head of Baikonur Cosmodrome,’ to the ISS.

Despite the project’s year-long preparation, I do not regret the effort.

• It added an unusual project to my portfolio and gave me the unforgettable experience of witnessing a rocket launch at Baikonur Cosmodrome. I highly recommend this experience to everyone.
• In my personal library, I have a book that has been to space and was signed by cosmonauts on the ISS.
• Additionally, I have a unique piece of merchandise from Roscosmos, commemorating the launch that delivered the books into space. This includes an official mock-up of the launch vehicle and a commemorative medal.

P.S. It is worth noting that cosmonauts use markers instead of pens or pencils. Furthermore, there is a single copy of a seal that is kept exclusively on the ISS. Therefore, if this seal is present on anything, it guarantees that the item has been in space.
