IGELU-2017

In September 2017, I organised the 12th annual international conference IGeLU-2017 in St. Petersburg. The conference had 483 participants from 36 countries. We booked the venue a year in advance. It was an unforgettable experience.

St. Petersburg was chosen for a reason. In 2013, I transferred the activities of the National Library of Russia from 26 disparate self-made systems to an integrated solution from Ex Libris company. The institution’s operations were not interrupted during a year and a half of hard work, which included integrating over 12 million records, implementing an electronic library and much more.

At the conference opening, Ex Libris management praised the high level of technical expertise of my team.
