Vladimir Konstantinovich Egorov

After taking part in the Leaders of Russia competition, I realised I needed to develop my management skills. In 2022, I enrolled in the Public and Municipal Administration programme at RANEPA’s Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service. I am pursuing a second university degree, this time in public administration.

The lecturers at RANEPA have a wealth of experience, and there is a lot to learn from them. The photo shows me with Vladimir Konstantinovich Egorov. Here are a few highlights from his career. Over the years, he has served as:

• Rector of the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute;
• Aide to the President of the USSR;
• Director of the Russian State Library (known as the “Leninka”);
• Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation;
• President-Rector of the Russian Academy of Public Administration (RAGS), before it merged with the Academy of National Economy (ANKh) to form RANEPA. He now heads the UNESCO Chair at RANEPA’s Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service.

I was fortunate to study under outstanding programmers at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Moscow State University. Now I am learning from outstanding leaders at RANEPA.
